ABOUT HUSKY CARDS
I started pokemon around the time when Hidden Fates released. I was watching someone on Youtube open pokemon booster boxes and I didn't realize Pokemon cards had value until then. I was watching this dude open boxes and yelling about the price of the cards and stuff. So, I started buying Cases of sets like Cosmic Eclipse, Unified minds ect. I opened the boxes and pulled a lot of stuff out of them. Then I learned people sell pokemon cards on ebay and I thought it would be cool to try it out myself.
By the way, during this time I was having very bad anxiety, panic attacks. Some times I had bad enough panics to where I'd just drive to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack.
So anyways, I was doing this pokemon thing on Ebay for about a month. I was opening things, then listing them on Ebay. I was watching a lot of people who owned TCG businesses on Youtube every day. Eventually I realized my panic and anxiety attacks had nearly disappeared. I believe distracting myself with this hobby helped keep my brain/mind occupied from all the stressful things in my life. So this compelled me to take it from a hobby , to a business. So I established my LLC in 08.2021. i went a year being online seller only , then summer of 2022 i opened up a brick and mortar store. I didn't know how to generate revenue , I didn't even take business courses in school. I was completely winging it.
So I randomly discovered Tiktok streaming, where I could sell my pokemon to people during live streams and do box breaks. This turned out to be a great idea because it did very well for me and it gave me a chance to connect with others that I'd never connect with normally.
I still run this company by myself. I do all the shipping, ordering, customer service, website management ect. Customer service is in my blood, since I've always worked in retail and learned how to give good customer service. I always hate dealing with companies that have 0 communication, so I tend to do the opposite of that.
I still stream on tiktok sometimes, but lately have moved to Youtube.
